CODEXSA® has a sizeable catalog of laboratory tests to meet the quality requirements of valid laws for the most important construction and civil engineering works. This catalog is comprised of more than 450 different tests. In order to conduct them, CODEXSA® has the most accurate instruments and the most advanced technology on the market. Continuously updating and acquiring cutting-edge equipment is a goal in and of itself. We are thus able to reliably meet current quality requirements. We independently offer our customers the possibility of controlling and/or tracking execution of works in their different phases.

These services are offered by CODEXSA® through its laboratories, supported by a powerful software tool that plays a key part in their management. The services included within this section are applicable to all segments we do business in. They cover the different disciplines that make up all activities at a construction site, from commencement to handover. Of note are:

  • Verifying data obtained from geotechnical study.
  • Identifying leveling and slope materials.
  • Confirming conditions of preparing and improving land to support foundations.
  • Concrete proportioning studies.
  • Aptitude and control tests for materials comprising concrete.
  • Grout tests. Characterization and control of injection grout.
  • Concrete control tests: resistant parameters (compression, flexotraction), permeability, chemical parameters, runoff, etc.
  • Laboratory tests on laminated and corrugated steel.
  • Monitoring of execution before and during concrete installation.
  • Tests to control the execution of metal structures.
  • Weld check.
  • Structure load tests.
  • Auscultation of foundation elements to check the continuity and depth reached (Cross Hole and sonic).
  • Non-destructive tests: ultrasound, sclerometer, pachometer.
  • Pathological studies: diagnosis, evaluation and solution proposals.
  • Laboratory and onsite tests on masonry (bricks, mortar, floor tiles, blocks, etc.) to confirm their suitability and compliance with standards.
  • Supervising the execution of the different project phases via onsite checks by specialized technicians.
  • Tests: watertightness, permeability, resistance, etc. According to applicable law, on finished project units.
  • Laboratory test on duct materials.
  • Monitoring the execution and testing of the following installations: plumbing, sewer system, electricity, fire, prevention, air conditioning, heat.
  • Thermal insulation with infrared thermographic camera.
  • Acoustic test with built-in sound analyzer.
  • Study of foundations, paviments and designed foundations labs.
  • Quality control of materials used samples gathered on-site for later laboratory investigation and identification.
  • Testing of compactation conditions: Density and humedity tests carried out "in situ" using the radioactive isotope method and Structure Load Tests.
  • Test on land stabilizing anchorage.
  • Lime and/or cement proportioning studies for ground stabilizing work.
  • Asphalt proportioning and control studies when it is being laid.
  • Equipment study of bank settlement using continuous lines.
  • Studies of slope stability using inclinometers.
  • Identifying metal items and their guards.
  • Tests for monitoring the acceptance of horizontal and vertical signaling items.
  • Tests for monitoring finished unit.
  • Developing statistical processing to apply to resulting data and devising periodic summaries.
  • Periodic check of production facilities with an indication of verifications, calibration of scales, etc.
  • Devising periodic reports on the quality control conducted.

CODEXSA® owns a category 2 radioactive facility authorised by the General Directorate of Energy Policy and Mines of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Commerce, in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Council (Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear, CSN): IR/SE-098/03. IRA 2662 in Seville and an authorised delegation in Huelva. It has enough capacity for 20 CPN devices and employs a supervisor for the installation.

The installation is authorised to carry out soil density and humidity measurements, for which it currently owns 9 CPN devices, a radioactive installation supervisor licence, and 10 licences for nuclear isotope operators, all issued by the CSN.
